Juan Lopez grew up on a south Texas farm where his dad, Carlos, was a farm manager. Juan was what some people call an anchor baby, because he was born in the U.S. to undocumented parents. Juan is a single parent with one son named Luis. Juan and Luis try to make a life in the U.S., but it is hard. One of Juan’s many problems is that he looks almost identical to an armored car robber, which causes a prejudiced FBI agent and an aggressive IRS agent to pursue Juan exhaustively.
